Water Balloon Fight

After many, many weekends of begging, it was finally warm enough for a water balloon fight! Needless to say, Peter spent more time filling the balloons than it took for the fight to actually last. Blake and Jacob thought it was great and Parker laughed hysterically each time a balloon broke! (if you click on some of the pictures, you can see the action a little better)

If you look in the middle of this picture, you can see two purple water balloons that Blake threw.

I love how this picture shows Peter about to get hit with the balloon!

Peter got Jacob in the back and you can see from Parker's face that he thought it was hilarious!

Playmobil Fun Park

We were able to tag along with Miss Betsy, Hunter and Gwen to Playmobil Fun Park the other day. It is this great place in the shape of the castle which has different stations set up inside with the Playmobil toys. An example of some were a castle, dollhouse, boat, princess, and rescue. The boys had a blast. I think their favorite part was the kid size castle with a throne and jail! It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Sweet Babe

My "baby" is 15 months old and growing so fast. He is really getting the hang of signing and picks up several new signs a week now. He is challenging me to keep up! His latest acomplishment is eating with an adult fork. He reminds me a lot of Jacob in that sense...he wants to do everything just like the big boys. The other day I got him ready for his bath and he immediately went up and stood by the potty. He wasn't quite sure what to do, but he knew that something was supposed to happen when he did that! There are days when I wish I could freeze time...

T-ball

Saturday was Blake's first t-ball game against the White Sox (his team is the Red Sox). He had some pretty good hits and managed to catch a ball or two when fielding. His favorite part, though, was running the bases!

Picnic

We had beautiful weather over the weekend and the boys thought it would be fun to have a picnic lunch outside. The greatest challenge was keeping Dakota from eating off the plates!

crazy

Jacob comes up to me and says "mommy, can you help me with these pants? They are driving me crazy!" What a nut!

oh Brotha!

Jacob ran into the bathroom, grabbed Blake's green power ranger toothbrush and then came running into Parker's room. He proceeded to do some form of Karate and then says to me "bring it on, brotha". Oh, it's on brotha!

Musings about Parker

We have been working on signing for a couple of months and although he was doing the sign for milk, I wasn't completely sure he knew what it was for or thought it was just cool to do with his hand. That is until yesterday, when he signed for milk and then proceeded to walk over to the glider in his room (where we nurse). Yay! And then at lunch time, he signed for "eat" and then "more". I was so excited that he is starting to get this whole thing since all he ever says is "aahh, aahh".

Today while I was nursing Parker, Blake came into the room to ask if he could have some chocolate. So I asked him what chocolate he wanted. He told me the ones that looked like mountains and said those are kisses. Parker latched off and leaned up to give me a big kiss on the lips. How cute is that!

Parker has a slight obsession with apples and blueberries. When he sees them, he wants them NOW and will scream on the top of his lungs until the gets them. He likes to hold a whole apple and walk around, taking a bite whenever he feels like it. He could do this for an hour. And don't even think about trying to take it away. He has also been able to eat a whole container of blueberries at once. One day he ate so many blueberries, I swore even his poop smelled like a blueberry!

Hold your horses

I was asking Jacob to come to me so I could help him take his shoes off and this is what he says to me: "hold your horses mommy, I am busy". Well, excuse me!
